Kill Your Food Addiction with Your Favorite Passion!When she started her weight loss group therapy, Ann’s goal was to lose 60 pounds. It’s only been 6 months and she has already lost 46 pounds. In my program, I ask my clients to find a true passion in life which they can use to replace their addiction. In Ann’s case, it was her love for soap making and addiction to style and fashion. As I mentioned you can’t just get rid of an addiction. You absolutely have to substitute it with something else in order to lose weight. However, this replacement has to be a strong passion for the individual. So strong that they would want to do it even in the middle of the night without thinking about it. In my case, dancing is my passion. I can dance for hours and I never get tired of it. If you wake me up in the middle of the night to go dancing, I would say yes, let’s go! Because the selection of this passion is so critical to my client’s success I make sure to help them to distinguish it during the 5 day weight loss program. Without my help clients typically pick something that they like to do, rather than something they LOVE to do.
