Hypnotherapy for Insomnia & Sleeping Difficulties
It’s always interesting to hear someone say they’ll sleep when they’re dead. As we all know too well, poor sleep makes one very accident prone, which in some circumstances can lead to an early demise!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention declared in 2014 that lack of sleep is a public health epidemic, but even if you don’t crash your car, lack of sleep can lead to diabetes and hypertension, and in the long run leaves you more susceptible to several types of cancer. Lack of sleep is no laughing matter.
Lack of sleep also makes us less effective at work, so we need to make sure we have a place that’s free of noise and light in order to maximize our chances of getting an effective night’s rest. Pharmaceutical sleep aids do little more than patch things over and don’t deal with the underlying problem.

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute recommends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a non-narcotic aid for relieving the anxiety that comes with night after night of poor sleep. And this is where hypnotherapy can begin to provide real relief for sleeping difficulties.

CBT only deals with the rational, logical everyday mind, but there is usually more to the matter than that. When we use hypnosis to examine what is going on with someone on a subconscious level, the problem is often something entirely different than suggested by CBT alone. I get a lot of clients with insomnia, and in my experience, hypnotherapy is exceptionally effective.
