Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness during which the mind undergoes incredible changes in thought patterns and behavior, resulting in breakthrough results. Hypnosis is a completely natural state that shifts the mind from a conscious state to a subconscious one. Hypnosis bypasses the analytical conscious mind and the limits of an individual’s present beliefs and thoughts. In a subconscious state, the focus of an individual shifts away from the present reality towards particular feelings, images, perceptions, emotions, sensations, and behaviors. In this state, the individual can access creativity, reprogram patterns, behaviors, thoughts, and inhibitions, as well as work on any emotional or physical pain relief. Furthermore, through hypnosis, one can utilize the subconscious mind to help identify and let go of self-limiting beliefs.

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, we often find it is important to identify fact from fiction. It is unfortunate that most people’s first learn about hypnosis through entertainment of stage hypnotism. This leads people to think that hypnosis is some kind of mind control and that they may be controlled or manipulated or made to do something ‘foolish’ against their willpower….Nothing could be further from the truth!

During clinical hypnosis your senses, concentration, and awareness are actually heightened and you will not fall asleep. Contrary, you can even talk quite easily while relaxed and in my analytical therapy sessions are encouraged my client to do so.

It is also a common for people to believe that some people cannot be hypnotized. It is completely inaccurate. Everybody, both children and adults, can easily be hypnotized and benefits from deep relaxation.

There are many branches of clinical hypnotherapy and an even larger number of applications for its use. However, hypnotherapy is also used to break many other habits, addictions, and to increase self-confidence and self-control.

None of my clients have concentrated on the emotional and physical aspects of their health, and the impact of the dietary pills, diets, and stresses that they experience in their life, relationships, or work. Many of my weight loss clients have chronic pains in their feet, knees, back, blood pressure, acid reflux, diabetes, liver problem, high cholesterol, low self esteem, food or alcohol addiction, anxiety, and depression. In this fast-paced life, no one has time to take time to think why they have even gained weight? What makes them eat when they are not hungry? What made them gain weight? What makes them turn to food when they get home after work? What’s not working in their life? What’s missing? What makes them anxious, depressed or bored?

Rather than turning to heal psychological and emotional problems, everyone continues to buy into the $60 billion dollar diet industry, from weight loss pills to magic belts that melt fat while watching TV. It sounds crazy, but people buy into all of the magical quick fixes out there just to continue avoiding nurturing themselves, their food addiction, anxiety, or depression, which triggers them to eat.

You must turn for help to professionals that can help you to overcome the emotions in the subconscious mind that continue to alarm you about an emotional pain.

The food, cigarettes, and alcohol are just a symptom to a larger problem that is lingering in the background. People learned to numb themselves with food because they are depressed, anxious, stressed, angry, or bored. Therefore, I address these psychological problems with clients not addressing their food habits, but rather the psychological aspect of what is triggering the problem.
